Why Mr. Pinque?
Because every great story needs a little personality.
Mr. Pinque began as the beloved mascot of Oasis Magazine, a symbol of Palm Springs glamour, creativity, and unmistakable desert charm. With Mr. Pinque Presents, that spirit now carries a larger purpose: using media to educate, uplift, preserve, and connect the communities of Palm Springs and the broader Coachella Valley.
The name reflects what the organization stands for: storytelling with style, public benefit with heart, and a commitment to making local voices impossible to overlook. Through journalism, arts and culture coverage, civic storytelling, preservation projects, access guides, inclusive media initiatives, and hands-on training for emerging storytellers, Mr. Pinque Presents brings personality, visibility, and purpose to the stories that shape the desert.

Matthew Mitchell is the President of Mr. Pinque Presents and the creative force behind Oasis Magazine, a bold media platform fueled by style, story, and the soul of Palm Springs. As a celebrated photographer with more than 30 covers worldwide, he has captured icons such as Eva Longoria, Lisa Vanderpump, Garcelle Beauvais, Sharon Gless, and Leighton Meester. His eye for beauty, culture, and narrative has shaped brands, campaigns, and conversations across the globe.

As a Palm Springs native, Kaleb has grown up immersed in the iconic mid-century modern architecture and vibrant landscapes that define the Coachella Valley, and it has shaped the way he sees the world. After spending 13 years in the Bay Area, he built an impressive body of work shooting for some of the world's most recognized brands, including Google, Twitter, and Uber, while also producing video campaigns for Everlane and a range of celebrated local clothing brands. His work extends to film, with two features to his credit on IMDB.
Rooted just as deeply in community as he is in craft, Kaleb has partnered with non-profits close to his heart, including Lavé Mae, Creativity Explored, and Guardian Gym, bringing the same care and intention to mission-driven work as he does to any major production. Much of this work was done out of Impact Hub Oakland, a global coworking space and non-profit community where he also served on the marketing team.
For Kaleb, photography/video has always been about connection — finding the story within a space, a moment, or a face and sharing it with those who might never get to experience it firsthand. Through his lens, he strives to capture not just what he sees, but what he feels in the moment.
